We’re ever growing….

Our Team at PTB in Braunschweig has been joined by a new postdoc Jascha Zander.

Here are a few words from Jascha:

Hi there, my name is Jascha Zander and I recently joined the Thorium nuclear clock project at PTB.

Previously, I joined the non-linear quantum optics group of Prof. Roman Schnabel at University of Hamburg as a Phd student. The focus of my Phd thesis was the generation of squeezed and entangled light and its application in quantum sensing, e.g. interferometric phase measurements.  

My tasks will now be the characterization and operation of the VUV Laser system currently setting up at PTB in Brunswick.I’m looking forward to work in this great interdisciplinary and exciting field.
